4th Erasmus Staff Training Week

Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is organizing its 4th Erasmus Staff Training Week from the 12th till the 16th of October 2015 in Thessaloniki.

The main purpose of this event is to widen and strengthen the cooperation with our partner institutions, to share our different experiences on internationalization, to facilitate networking and establishment of new partnerships.Participants will be given the opportunity to learn from the experiences and good practices of the partner institutions. They will be allowed to exchange ideas about fostering student and staff mobility, to present their home universities, structures and working practices, to explore and discuss special topics of interest within the field of internationalisation, and much more.

TARGET GROUP

The Staff Week is aimed for colleagues from European Universities (partners and non‐partners) working in various departments, and who are dealing with issues occurring by the international dimension of higher education.

A maximum of two participants from each institution will be selected.

In case of high number of applications, Aristotle University will examine all applications and select the final list of candidates.

 

WORK PROGRAMME:

The programme includes:

  • Presentation of Aristotle University faculties, activities and campuses, along with a brief presentation of the Greek higher education system
  • Presentations by all participants: Best practices: strengths and opportunities (5-7 min)
  • Workshops

 

OPTIONAL ACTIVITIES:

Apart from the work meetings, we are organizing a tour around Thessaloniki's main cultural sites, some informal social events, the attendance of a major cultural event, and an excursion to one of the worldwide known archaeological sites of the Northern Greece.

Further details about the social and cultural events will be sent to the participants by the end of July.

 

APPLICATION PROCESS:

The application period is till June 30, 2015.

By the end of July, all applicants will be informed by e‐mail whether their application was approved or not.

 

ACCOMMODATION:

The accommodation cost will be covered by the participants. However, the organizers can suggest a variety of possible convenient solutions, taking into consideration the location, the service quality and the price range of the lodgings. Further details will be mailed to the participants, after the confirmation of the mobility.

The Staff Training Week is a joint effort organized by two closely collaborating departments, the Dpt of European Educational Programmes and the Dpt of International Relations, with the participation of the Dpt of Public Relations, the Dpt of Studies, and the Career Services Office, of the Directorate for the Coordination of Academic Units, A.U.Th.
