10th Erasmus Staff Training Week - Enhancing inclusiveness of HEIs

The maximum number of participants is 30.

 In case we receive more applications than spots available, the following selection criteria will be applied:

- Applicants from the Utrecht Network will be prioritized for places

- 1-2 persons maximum per member institution

- Applicants with the most relevant background and interests for the programme.



To improve the capacity of Universities so as to provide quality support services and access to educational components to all students

To reflect on the recognition process regarding social inclusion activities in which the students can be involved

Target Group:

Academic and administrative staff of all levels involved in support services and/or curricula/courses design who are interested in enhancing inclusiveness within their institutions.


The detailed programme will be announced in due time. In a nutshell it will include:

Main topics – Workshops

  • Methodology and best practices on inclusive course design
  • Students’ contribution in designing inclusive curricula
  • Psychological support during the acculturation process
  • Intercultural aspects of mobilities and the importance of interreligious understanding
  • Linguistics barriers and their impact on mobilities

The training design will be a comprehensive one, constituting of plenary sessions and group sessions.

Application Process & Fee:

The staff training is without fees and includes lunches and coffee breaks.

Participants are expected to cover their costs of travel, accommodation and dinners by themselves and to make necessary travel arrangements and reservations.


The accommodation cost will be covered by the participants, however, the organizers can suggest a variety of possible convenient solutions, taking into consideration the location, the service quality and the price range of the lodgings. Further details will be mailed to the participants, after the confirmation of the mobility.

The main focus of the training will be the issue of social inclusion and steps the universities can take towards more inclusive programmes, so the priority will be on the methodology and best practices on inclusive course design as well as the students’ contribution in designing inclusive curricula.

This will be achieved by providing staff and faculty members with insights and best practices on how to make their study programmes more inclusive by adjusting their current courses, introducing new ones and adopting field work in social activities as part of their curricula.

So, there will be workshops focusing on the two thematic areas which will be delivered by experienced staff and faculty members of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki:
