During summer the students can use the A.U.T.H. camping facilities at Poseidi in Chalkidiki, a summer resort at a distance of about 150 km from Thessaloniki, at a very low cost. The Camping facilities include sports and entertainment facilities, hygiene facilities, restaurant, two life-guard towers, fire-protection, a beach bar, a students’ kiosk, and a small convenience store.

The University Gym of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki provides the students and personnel of the university with a wide range of sports programmes and activities.
All programmes aim to improve the quality of life of the members of the academic community through sports, games and physical activity.
All Erasmus students have the opportunity to exercise and take part in the various sports offered.
Students from the EU countries should have a “European Health Card” which is provided by the relevant authorities of their country of residence.
Students who undertake a traineeship should have a Health Insurance from their country of origin as well as an Insurance for Accident and Liability.
Our university offers three free meals per day (breakfast, lunch and supper) at the Student Restaurant. Erasmus students can benefit from the Students’ restaurant as well, which is open during the academic year, every day from Monday to Sunday.
All Erasmus students are allowed to use the Library initially by showing their Erasmus ID Card and then they will be asked to show their Academic ID card.

Thessaloniki is known as a “friendly” city with an active cultural and social life. Beyond the museums, there are numerous movie theaters, (foreign films are screened with subtitles), several theaters, a state and a city orchestra, cafes, restaurants and bars.

All incoming students from non-EU countries need to apply for visa, prior to their arrival in Greece.
A Letter of Acceptance is required for visa, issues by the Department of European Educational Programmes and sent both by e-mail and regular post.
Note: Once you arrive at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki you need to Register within the Erasmus Office (Department of European Educational Programmes) where you will obtain your ‘Erasmus ID’ Card. With this card you will have to Register within the Secretariat of the School where you will study for your Erasmus+ Period.
