By way of introduction, I am Besiana Ahmeti and I am part of the Talent Development team at FleishmanHillard in Brussels. I am writing to inform you of a number of internship positions which may be of interest to undergraduate students of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
About the internship programme
The FleishmanHillard EU Internship is an innovative programme which offers undergraduate students a 10-month placement in the Brussels office of a global firm, providing them an opportunity to see how public affairs within the EU works across a wide range of sectors. The internship programme has been an integral part of the Brussels office for more than 16 years.
In that time, a number of former interns have gone on to receive full time employment within the firm, while many others have gained invaluable experience which has contributed to their successful career paths. During the programme, interns are given a personal mentor within their assigned team. Working as a core member of the team provides them with responsibility and the opportunity to develop their knowledge of European politics as well as communication and workplace skills.
About the Brussels office
FleishmanHillard is the largest Public Affairs consultancy in Brussels. It covers a range of sectors including Technology, Chemicals & Environment, Healthcare, Energy & Transport, Financial Services and a digital and creative studio, and provides services both in public affairs and communications.

Who should apply?
Current 2nd year (or penultimate year) undergraduate students who study politics / economics / law / languages and have an interest in European politics and communications. There is no particular prerequisite with regard to discipline.
How does the student apply?
A CV and letter of motivation should be submitted to FleishmanHillard by Friday 28th January 2022, via the relevant university department. Applications are now being accepted and students will be contacted directly with the result of their application and the university will be kept informed throughout the process. Interviews with selected students (selection based on prior written test) will take place mid-February and successful candidates will subsequently be informed of their selection in March 2022.
Further details
The internship runs from September 2022 to June 2023 and is remunerated based on Brussels living costs. The company provides weekly language classes and the use of specific languages (e.g. Erasmus students) can be facilitated if desired.
