What?
Food is more than a daily routine—it’s tied to insecurity, health, climate change, labour conditions, and global challenges. This course explores the legal and policy frameworks shaping food production, distribution, and consumption worldwide. You will gain a holistic understanding of food, law, sustainability, human rights, and agency through insights from academics and practitioners. With one week in Antwerp and another in Rome, you'll combine theory with hands-on experience, including visits to UN Rome-based agencies, international NGOs, and EU institutions. The course consists of two modules and candidates are required to complete both.
When?
Module 1 (in Antwerp): 3 - 6 February 2026
Module 2 (in Rome): June/July 2026
The exact dates for module 2 will be announced in January 2026
Where?
The first module will take place at the University of Antwerp.
The second module is organised at the Università Roma Tre.
