Dear Esteemed Network Members,
We are pleased to share with you the official calls for participation in our two upcoming summer schools:
1. Healthy and Active Lifestyle (HALS, 3rd edition)
Location: EMUNI University, Piran, Slovenia
Dates: 8–12 September 2025
The HALS Summer School focuses on promoting health and well-being through a multidisciplinary approach that includes nutrition, physical activity, mental health, and sustainable living. Participants will engage in workshops, expert-led seminars, and outdoor activities designed to foster a deeper understanding of healthy lifestyle practices, particularly in the Mediterranean context.
2. Irrigation and Sustainable Oliviculture in the Mediterranean (ISOM, 1st edition)
Location: EMUNI University, Piran, Slovenia
Dates: 8–13 September 2025
(!) Please note: There was a mistake in the previously shared dates for the ISOM Summer School. I sincerely apologize for the confusion. The dates listed here and on our website are correct.
The ISOM Summer School addresses sustainable agricultural practices, with a particular focus on water management and oliviculture in the Mediterranean. Through field visits, hands-on sessions, and lectures by leading experts, participants will explore innovative approaches to irrigation and sustainable farming in a region heavily impacted by climate change and water scarcity.
Additionally, I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that EMUNI University has a number of available Erasmus+ student mobilities (KA171) for partner universities from the MENA region that have signed an Erasmus Inter-Institutional Agreement (IIA) with EMUNI. These mobilities are available for both of our upcoming summer schools.
The call, which is also published on the webpages of the two summer schools, is attached to this email. Interested students must complete both application forms to be considered for the mobility. All eligibility criteria and further details are outlined in the call.
Both summer schools are open to advanced Bachelor's, Master's and PhD students from EMUNI’s network and beyond. Each programme includes lectures by distinguished international academics, interactive workshops, and site visits that enrich the academic and cultural experience.
We would be most grateful if you could circulate the calls among your students and institutional channels. Your support is instrumental in promoting EMUNI’s mission to foster cooperation and excellence in higher education and research across the Euro-Mediterranean region.
