This is a reminder about the virtual info session on April 9, 2024 where you can find out more about the Diplomatic Academy’s well-established “Summer Course for German Language and Culture in Austria”, which will take place from 5 – 23 August 2024 in Vienna.
The programme is designed to meet the special needs and interests of adult learners (minimum age 18 years) from different professional backgrounds from all over the world. The Summer Course combines three weeks of high-quality and varied programme:
· intensive German language training at different levels of competence (beginners to advanced – in accordance with the Council of Europe’s Common European Framework for Languages);
· lectures on Austrian politics, history and culture;
· excursions to national and international organizations as well as cultural institutions in Vienna (United Nations, Museum of Art History, Schönbrunn Palace, guided city tour, etc.);
· city research projects to give participants the opportunity to discover the “real” Vienna beyond tourist clichés and practice the new German language skills acquired in the classroom;
· leisure activities (e.g. a walk through the Vienna vineyards, a visit to a “Heuriger” [Austrian wine tavern] including a wine-tasting as well as Waltz lessons ) and
· day-trip to a picturesque destination outside of Vienna.
We offer 4 course options, which allows for the participants to choose between accommodation (including breakfast) as well as lunch.
The Diplomatic Academy of Vienna would be most grateful, if you could spread the information on the Summer Course within your institution and forward it to anyone you think might be interested in this unique programme.
Our website (www.da-vienna.ac.at/summer_course) contains all details on the Summer Course in 3 languages (English, French and German).
The flyer with general Summer Course information is available in German, English and French, which you will find on our website as well (https://www.da-vienna.ac.at/en/Languages/German-Summer-Course).
