We are pleased to inform you that applications are now open for the Birmingham International Summer School (BISS) 2022. It is an excellent opportunity for international students to gain an immersive cultural and study experience. Students will experience British culture in a vibrant and diverse city, right at the heart of the UK.
There are a range of academic programmes available delivered by University faculty who are experts in their field. All programmes offer students the opportunity to earn credits for their study and to gain a valuable and memorable learning and social experience.
There are six programmes on offer in 2022:
- British Cultural Heritage
- English Language: Communicating with Confidence
- Film & Media
- Global Environmental Issues
- Mathematical Finance and Financial Time Series Analysis
- The Biomedical Science Research Challenge
The programme dates of the Summer School are 18 July – 5 August 2022.
We welcome applications from your students and would be grateful if you could help promote this opportunity to students who are interested in a summer school experience.
To recognise the highly valued relationships between Birmingham and our international partners, your students will receive a Β£150 partner discount towards the programme fees. For students attending universities within the Universitas 21 Network a discount of Β£250 will be offered. All students can also benefit from the early application discount of Β£150 should they apply by 7 March 2022.

Applications for BISS are now open and can be submitted online, by the deadline of 12 April 2022.
