Dear Colleagues I am writing to you on behalf of the European Society for Marine Biotechnology (ESMB), which is now hosted at Université de Bretagne Occidentale in Brest, France. One of our major aims is to help launch the careers of young scientists. We are therefore currently setting up a number of specific actions in order to help Masters, MSc and PhD students find Marine Biotechnology related Research and Work internships/placements within Europe.. As long lasting partners of UBO, we would like to know if you would be willing to collaborate with us. We have put together a list of 43 exciting internships that may be browsed following this link: http://www.esmb.org/available-placements.html. We would really appreciate if you would spread the information among your students and lecturers – and let them know they should feel free to contact us for further details on any given position. Students will be selected in late October/early November and selection will be based on marks, cover letter and a skype interview (with one ESMB board member and the host supervisor). I strongly believe that internships are enriching and positive experiences for students and hosts so I will be personally monitoring this initiative. Please let me know if you have any queries. Thank you very much, in advance, for your attention and kind collaboration. Best regards, Prof Claire Hellio, on behalf of the ESMB board
