Additional information:

Please note the following language requirements for incoming students:

·         A minimum CEFR B2 level proficiency in English is required for courses taught in English.

·         A minimum CEFR A2 level proficiency in Italian is required for courses taught in Italian (except for certain courses, which may require a B2 level in Italian).

To meet the language requirement, we accept certificates that are internationally recognized and/or assessed by the Home Institution (i.e. University Language Centre and/or language professor), provided that the level of language proficiency is clearly stated. The proof of language knowledge must be submitted in the application form.

Furthermore, we would like to provide important additional information regarding incoming students interested in taking only courses taught in English at our Faculty of Law:

  • Weare receiving nominations for the upcoming academic year 2024/2025, and we are delighted to see the increasing interest from your students in experiencing mobility at our institution. This aligns closely with our strategic plan, where internationalization is a key focus. However, we kindly request that you adhere to the number of students specified in our interinstitutional agreement, as we are already receiving a substantial number of nominations for the upcoming year. Over the past few years, our incoming mobility to the Faculty of Law has significantly increased, particularly due to the availability of courses taught in English, including our Bachelor's degree program in Comparative, European, and International Legal Studies, which is entirely taught in English. In the previous Fall semester, we hosted approximately 70-80 students willing to follow only English-taught courses. However, this influx has posed challenges, particularly in managing classes logistically (due to space constraints) and academically (as our program employs innovative teaching methods aimed at direct student engagement, which becomes difficult with overcrowding).

C. Recommended language skills

The sending institution, following agreement with the receiving institution, is responsible for providing support to its nominated candidates so that they can have the recommended language skills at the start of the study or teaching period:
