Agreement duration: 2014 - 2022

The institutions named below agree to cooperate for the exchange of students and/or staff in the context of the Erasmus+ programme. They commit to respect the quality requirements of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in all aspects related to the organisation and management of the mobility, in particular the recognition of the credits awarded to students by the partner institution.

HISTORY OF ART

Student Mobility for Studies: 2x5 months or 1x10 months

 

Lectures are mainly taught in Catalan or Spanish. The usage of either language depends on the lecturer who gives the course. Lectures offered in English are available on this list.

As a general rule, it is recommended that students have a minimum language level of

B1.2 on the language of instruction of the courses.

 

Faculty of Economics and Business: Minimum level of B2 of the language of instruction of the courses selected by the student. List of valid certifcates available here.

 Faculty of Political Science and Sociology: Minimum level of B2 of the language of instruction of the courses selected by the student.

 Faculty of Communication: Mimium level of B1 of the language of instruction of the courses selected by the student.

D. Additional requirements

1. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki:

Courses at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are normally taught in Greek. However, there are courses in other languages too, especially at the Foreign Language Faculties, Faculty of Law (courses in English, French and German language), School of Journalism & Mass Communication, and School of Economics. In all other cases, there are special arrangements for LLP/Erasmus students, such as assignment of essays in English with the use of English bibliography in small groups of students.

Greek Language courses for Erasmus+ students

There are courses organized specifically for Erasmus+ students with the support of the EU at the beginning of each semester: in October and in March (beginners’ level). Moreover there are on-line courses at the beginning of each semester.

Students with disabilities

Social and Health Policy Committee of AUTH was established in 1997 with the aim to facilitate students with disabilities. Services have been developed and updated according to European and International standards. There are several fields that Social and Health Policy Committee is getting involved, always aiming to make student life easier so that all students can focus on their academic demands.

Students with visual impairment

- Converting books or notes in any file the student is using to study (text to speech, print them in Braille etc)

Students with hearing disabilities

- Interpretation in Greek Sign language everywhere in the campus of our University during working hours.

- Unfortunately we do not provide interpretations in other foreign sign languages.

Students with mobility disabilities

- We provide transportation to students with mobility disabilities from their residences to the campus and vice versa in an everyday basis.

- connect students with other institutions so that they will be given the professional care they need depending on their issue.

2. Universitat Autónoma de Barcelona

  • Enrolment. According to the exchange policy of the UAB, incoming students must enrol for at least 50% of their credits at the faculty of admission. The other 50% can be taken at the rest of the UAB centres/faculties, provided the groups are still open.

 

  • Teaching Staff Mobility. A letter of invitation issued by an authorised UAB contact person is required prior to implementing Teaching Staff Mobility.

 

  • Admission to Master’s programmes at the UAB. This is only possible when the agreement specifies a UAB Master’s programme. In order to be admitted to a Master's programme at the UAB as an exchange student, prior written approval from the coordinator of this Master is compulsory. Otherwise admission will be for fourth year courses in our 4 year bachelor programmes.

Termination of this Agreement, or amendments to it, can be made annually, if communicated before September 30th and will only take effect as of September 30th of the following academic year. Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of conflict.

  • Once students have been selected and nominated by their home universities for an academic exchange stay at the UAB, they must fill in the online Application Form at the site http://sia.uab.es.

 

  • The accepted students will receive via e-mail an admission letter and a document with useful information for their future stay at the UAB.

2. Following the receipt of the paper application (printed online application), AUTH will send its decision within 4-6 weeks.
3. A Transcript of Records will be issued by the receiving institution no later than 5 weeks after the assessment period has finished at the receiving HEI.

4. Termination of the agreement

In the event of unilateral termination, a notice of at least one academic year should be given. This means that a unilateral decision to discontinue the exchanges notified to the other party by 1 September 20XX will only take effect as of 1 September 20XX+1. The termination clauses must include the following disclaimer: "Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of a conflict."
