Inter-institutional agreement between programme countries

The institutions named below agree to cooperate for the exchange of students and/or staff in the context of the Erasmus+ programme. They commit to respect the quality requirements of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in all aspects related to the organisation and management of the mobility, in particular the recognition of the credits awarded to students by the partner institution.

D. Additional requirements
1. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki:
Courses at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are normally taught in Greek. However, there are courses in other languages too, especially at the Foreign Language Faculties, Faculty of Law (courses in English, French and German language), School of Journalism & Mass Communication, and School of Economics. In all other cases, there are special arrangements for LLP/Erasmus students, such as assignment of essays in English with the use of English bibliography in small groups of students.

Students with disabilities
Social and Health Policy Committee of AUTH was established in 1997 with the aim to facilitate students with disabilities. Services have been developed and updated according to European and International standards. There are several fields that Social and Health Policy Committee is getting involved, always aiming to make student life easier so that all students can focus on their academic demands.

2. Universitat Pompeu Fabra
Placement test is required for any student to enrol any Spanish language course of the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation.
Information about facilities to welcome students with disabilities available on individual request depending on special needs. Please contact oma.incoming@upf.edu during the nomination process detailing which disabilities and needs should be covered. Final acceptance will be done on a case by case basis.
The Language Volunteering at UPF (www.upf.edu/vl/en/) organizes leisure and cultural activities for exchange students and offers a language tandem programme, so an international student can meet a local student and an exchange conversation in each other’s language.

4. Termination of the agreement
In the event of unilateral termination, a notice of at least one academic year should be given. This means that a unilateral decision to discontinue the exchanges notified to the other party by 1 September 20XX will only take effect as of 1 September 20XX+1. The termination clauses must include the following disclaimer: "Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of a conflict."

3. Insurance
The sending and receiving institutions will provide assistance in obtaining insurance for incoming and outbound mobile participants, according to the requirements of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education.

| E BARCELO15 | Mobility and Reception Office: oma.incoming@upf.edu Students from a Member State of the European Union, the European Economic Area (EEA) or Switzerland and entitled to coverage under the social security system of their country, then they can apply for the European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). While the EHIC card gives EU citizens access to medically necessary, state-provided healthcare during a temporary stay in Spain, it is NOT an alternative to travel insurance. It does cover NEITHER accidents NOR any private healthcare or costs such as a return flight home country or lost/stolen property. Students which are citizens of a country outside the EEA or Switzerland, then they must find out whether there exists a mutual health provision agreement between the Social Security system of their country and Spain (this is the case of a number of Latin American countries). If such an agreement exists, they can obtain a document from the relevant authorities in their country entitling them to free medical coverage in Spain. 4. Housing
