Courses at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are normally taught in Greek. However, there are courses in other languages too, especially at the Foreign Language Faculties, Faculty of Law (courses in English, French and German language), School of Journalism & Mass Communication, and School of Economics. In all other cases, there are special arrangements for LLP/Erasmus students, such as assignment of essays in English with the use of English bibliography in small groups of students.

Social and Health Policy Committee of AUTH was established in 1997 with the aim to facilitate students with disabilities. Services have been developed and updated according to European and International standards. There are several fields that Social and Health Policy Committee is getting involved, always aiming to make student life easier so that all students can focus on their academic demands.

2. Philipps-Universität Marburg
Recommended language skills
The sending institution, following agreement with the receiving institution, is responsible for providing support to its nominated candidates to help them acquire the recommended language skills by the start of the study or teaching period.
As a rule, the language of instruction is the institution’s official language and/or English. This applies to both the sending and receiving institution.
The Philipps-Universität Marburg recommends a minimum level of B1, as defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), in the language of instruction. A level of B2 is advisable. In philology courses the language of instruction is often the language of the region studied.
Language requirements for individual faculties or areas of study that differ from this general recommendation are specified in the Inter-institutional agreement.

Additional information / requirements
At Philipps-Universität Marburg (D MARBURG01), intensive language courses are offered before each semester; orientation weeks for Incoming students are held twice before each semester (before and after the language courses).
Philipps-Universität Marburg (D MARBURG01) has infrastructures to host students and staff with disabilities (accommodation, classroom access, etc.), though not all university buildings are barrier-free. Depending on the nature of the disability, the city infrastructure may not be adequate. We would advise to contact the International Office at erasmus@uni-marburg.de as early as possible before the intended stay in order to inform the student/staff of all relevant details and organize any additional services in time for the mobility.

2. Following the receipt of the paper application (printed online application), AUTH will send its decision within 4-6 weeks.
3. A Transcript of Records will be issued by the receiving institution no later than 5 weeks after the assessment period has finished at the receiving HEI.
Philipps-Universität Marburg

The Philipps-Universität Marburg will normally send its decision within 2 weeks. Please be aware that some subject areas may need more time for the decision.

A Transcript of Records will be issued by Philipps-Universität Marburg no later than 4 weeks after the assessment period has finished, depending on the completion of the course list by the Incoming student. The assessment period finishes at the end of the semester, i.e. March 31 for Winter term, September 30 for Summer term.
4. Termination of the agreement
In the event of unilateral termination, a notice of at least one academic year should be given. This means that a unilateral decision to discontinue the exchanges notified to the other party by 1 September 20XX will only take effect as of 1 September 20XX+1. The termination clauses must include the following disclaimer: "Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of a conflict."
