Academic libraries face significant challenges resulting from declining budgets and aging staff. At the same time, demands for innovative information services are escalating due to dramatic changes in scholarly communication trends and rapid evolution of information technologies. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Library & Information Centre (AUTh Library) invites library staff (librarians, information specialists, Library IT staff, etc.) to share ideas, knowledge and expertise. Such exchange may enable collaboration and provide solutions to common problems.

AUTh Library will welcome library staff experienced or interested in open access, management of special collections, information literacy, and scholarly communication. The AUTh Library will organize presentations, guided tours and social events to provide participants with a stimulating stay in Thessaloniki, the second biggest city of sunny Greece!

The maximum number of participants is 25. If we receive more applications there will be a selection process based on our effort to find the colleagues that will maximize the outcomes of the week both for our staff and for the rest of the participants.
