We are very pleased to announce our 2020 IPL Summer School which will take place from June 11, to July 15, 2020 in Lyon.
The IPL Summer School comprises a scientific, cultural and linguistic program which enables undergraduate students in Science and Engineering to acquire ECTS credits, to major in science and to obtain a cross-cultural experience in France.
With France’s second-largest network of higher education and research institutes, the Lyon area provides a pool of highly qualified students, researchers and employees. Lyon is also a great place to live and is recognized as a French capital of the gastronomy.
CPE Lyon, the most well-known chemistry engineering school in France and linked with Lyon 1 University, is happy to propose this year a new program: Digital science for chemists. The goal of this practical and theoretical course is to enable future chemistry engineers to use digital science in their project management. Particular emphasis is given to Big Data (Data Storage and Mining, AI, Machine Learning), Internet of Things (Sensors, Networks, Cybersecurity) and the impact of Industry 4.0 on chemical engineering.
The program consists of science/engineering classes in English at CPE Lyon (45-60 hours of class, laboratory work and group projects for 6 ECTS) and French language classes in different levels (39 hours of French classes for 3 ECTS). Students will also discover the multiple facets of our region by taking part in industrial and cultural visits. These visits and the French language classes are organized jointly by the four engineering schools of the IPL group.
