Printer-friendly version

Politecnico di Milano is pleased to announce its second International Staff Training Week, taking place in Milan from 12 to 15 October 2026. We kindly invite you to share this opportunity with potentially interested Technical and Administrative Staff at your institution.

The initiative focuses on how universities address student drop-out through data analysis, monitoring and strategic actions. In this context, particular attention will be given to the monitoring of student trajectories and the development and coordination of actions aimed at preventing student drop-out and fostering academic success.

The programme is designed for Technical and Administrative Staff involved in analytical, technical and organisational functions, including the management and use of information systems, data analysis and reporting. It is also addressed to colleagues working in student-facing services such as academic administration, orientation, onboarding, tutoring and broader student support services. By bringing together diverse professional perspectives, the Staff Week promotes an integrated and evidence-informed approach to student retention, encouraging the exchange of data-driven practices and experiences.

Key topics will include:

  • Scientific framework and theoretical perspectives on student drop-out
  • Data analysis and monitoring tools for drop-out prevention and reduction
  • Overview of institutional actions and support services addressing student drop-out
  • Impact evaluation of strategies and measures, and future strategic developments

You should consider applying if you:

  • Are eager to acquire new knowledge and skills to analyse and prevent student drop-out, and are motivated to apply this learning in your daily work
  • Recognize the strategic value of bridging a scientific approach with the design of relevant and sensitive student-centered support services
  • Are curious to learn from others, share experiences (including challenges), and bring back ideas adaptable to your institutional context
