Volda University College (VUC) invites you to take part in the International Partner Days, September 1-4, 2026. Join this event to get to know VUC better, strengthen collaboration with our departments, network with other participants, follow-up students on exchange in Volda and get a firsthand impression of our friendly campus atmosphere.

Arrival day, welcome reception in the evening.

Presentation of all participants, orientation to VUC, tour of campus, introduction to the VUC library and the International Hub Pangaia.

Thursday
September 3

Individual programme for each participant.

Friday
September 4
|
Individual programme for each participant, cultural excursion and departures.

Most of the programme will be tailored to the individual participants interests and background, and will include activities such as meetings with VUC Departments or research groups, teaching or observing classes, job shadowing, follow-up on students on exchange in Volda, school/sight visits, etc.
Travel and accommodation
We expect participants to arrive in Volda on Tuesday September 1st and depart Friday September 4th, but it is possible to prolong the stay into the weekend. Read more about how to travel to Volda.
We recommend accommodation in the guest wing of the SiVolda dormitories. We have reserved 15 single rooms for guests. These rooms are furnished and with en-suite bathroom, and costs ca. 800 NOK per night (breakfast not included). Alternatively, we recommend finding housing on Airbnb (make su re that the apartment is in close walking distance to campus).
Costs and practical information
There is no participation fee for this event, and participants can check if they are eligible for Erasmus+ funding from their home institutions to cover travel and accommodation costs.
We plan an informal event with a "home made feel". This will keep the costs down and ensure that the partner days reflect the personal and outdoorsy atmosphere VUC is known for. Instead of eating in restaurants and visiting museums, we can go on short hikes and eat our meals outside. As such, participants should bring good walking shoes and comfortable clothes rather than their nicest suits.

Wait for confirmation of participation before you book your tickets! Confirmation of participation is awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. If we receive a lot of registrations, we may have to limit participation to two representatives from each institution.
