Dear colleagues,on behalf of the organising team, I would like to invite you to our International Days 2020 - „Crossroads in Social Work” which will take place from May 25 – 29, 2020.
We are inviting teaching colleagues to take an active part in this programme by giving a lecture or leading a workshop (eligible for Erasmus+ Teaching Exchange funding). Also, we would be more than happy to welcome your students to join us for these international days and receive up to 2 ECTS for their participation. In addition to lectures and workshops, our programme will include site visits to social organisations active in a variety of different areas, such as child and family welfare or immigration.
For overseas-students and lecturers an extension to 2nd week of stay (until June 5, 2020) is possible. Further details upon request.
Cultural Trip (optional):
On Monday, May 25, 2020, we will show you the beauty of Austria and take the chance to get to know eachother before the official start of the international days. Join us for an optional trip to the famous Hallein Salt Mine. After that we will visit Salzburg where you will have the possibility of exploring this picturesque city on your own before we then return to Linz.
Costs:
The University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria is able to cover some of the spending but we need to charge you a portion of costs. Therefore following fees will be charged:
Participation fee for the International Days : May 26 – 29, 2020 – 50,-- Euro/student; 70,-- Euro/lecturer.
The fee will cover costs such as welcome and farewell lunch/dinner, weekly-pass for public transport Linz, etc.
Participation fee for the optional cultural trip to Hallein Salt Mine & Salzburg: May 25, 2020 – 30,-- Euro/student and 50,-- Euro/lecturer.
Travel costs, costs for lodging and meals (apart of the welcome and farewell dinner) are to be covered by the participants.

In order to register for our event, please send us an e-mail to international@fh-linz.at and let us know whether you are a lecturer or student. We will then send you the application form.
Accommodation:
Linz offers a variety of hotels at different price levels. The closest new and very low priced hotel is the “Montagehotel Business & City” which is situated just around the corner (approx. 5 min. walk) of the FH Upper Austria. We have also pre-reserved a certain amount of rooms at the new “Amedia Hotel” (2 min. walking distance) – please let us know if you intend to stay there and we will inform you about the special rate and give you the reservation code. Upon request we will gladly suggest other hotels. Also, one of the cheapest and most convenient ways of staying in Linz is through Airbnb. Please book your stay individually.
