International Bachelor Summer School for Climate Change Research “Confronting Climate Change – from Science to Policy”

Content: The latest report published by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change states that “climate change is clear” – a conclusion that was accepted and agreed upon by each participating government. This global and highly complex challenge can best be understood and addressed by adopting an interdisciplinary perspective.The Summer School comprises keynote lecture; workshops in small groups and a simulation of a multilateral climate conference. A field trip to the high altitude research station Jungfraujoch (3500 m a.s.l.) will provide insights into latest measurement technologies, as well as to the impacts of climate change.

Aimed at: Bachelor students (in or after their second year) from natural/climate sciences, economics, social or political sciences, law.
