Theological School of the Church of Cyprus can accommodate students and staff with special needs.

• Application procedure / deadline

In order to apply for Erasmus Studies in TSCC, interested incoming students must submit the following documents:

• Fully completed and typed Application Form signed by incoming student.
• Official transcript for all years of study at the Sending University, translated into English
• Copies of passport
• Copies of the EU Health Card or Personal Health Insurance Card
• Official certificate/proof of linguistic proficiency in Greek
• Two passports sized photos

The above documents must be sent by e-mail to erasmus@theo.ac.cy before the deadline for the submission of applications. Application documents received after application deadlines will not be accepted.

• Integration of Erasmus students in TSCC

Incoming students will be treated in the same way as the existing students of the School. TSCC wishes to offer to incoming students a welcoming and friendly living environment so that they can attend their lessons with ease. The incoming students will have the opportunity to stay in TSCC Students’ Hall, located within walking distance to TSCC buildings in the old Nicosia town area. The Student Welfare Office will offer them all the benefits and services offered to the students of TSCC. Also, the Student Union will accept them as members, who can participate in the events and the groups. Prior to their arrival in Cyprus, the students will receive electronically all the necessary information for their studies, accommodation, and daily life in Cyprus.

TSCC will provide to Erasmus incoming students:

• the student card
• the library card
• gym card
• access to Moodle
• personal email
• academic tutor
• tours in Cyprus in order to visit historical and religious sites and learn the culture and the social life of Cyprus
• the choice to stay at TSCC Students’ Hall

It is not possible for exchange students to defend their BA/MA/PhD thesis at the host university.

• Infrastructure for students and staff with disabilities

All areas of the TSCC and the TSCC Student Hall are wheelchair accessible, there are disabled parking spots and accessible bathrooms. There is provision for additional funds to cover the various needs of visitors with disabilities such as:

• A trip guide (to the hosting country and back) during staying abroad if mandatory
• Special arrangements for the transport from the Institution of Origin to the receiving Institution or to the business as well as locally, during the period of staying abroad
• Accommodation in an appropriately equipped room (in case when the student accommodation does not have a proper room)
• An assistant during the day or night time
• Caretaker of the patient
• Help during the lessons (for keeping notes etc.)
• Medical attention (physiotherapies, frequent medical check at the hosting country)
• Special teaching material (“Braille” system, printed copies zoomed-in, lecture recording)
• Medical supplies in case they are not covered by the European Insurance card or the private insurance contract

Applicants with special needs will be contacted before the final approval of the acceptance. The final decision depends on extra services/ facilities available.

TSCC will send its decision within 3 weeks after the deadline for applications. 

A Transcript of Records will be issued by the TSCC no later than 5 weeks after the assessment period has finished at the TSCC. 

In the event of unilateral termination, a notice of at least one academic year should be given. This means that a unilateral decision to discontinue the exchanges notified to the other party by 1 September 20XX will only take effect as of 1 September 20XX+1. The termination clauses must include the following disclaimer: "Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of a conflict."

A scale of 1 to 10 applies to the marks of each subject in the Hellenic Higher Education

The student is considered to have passed a course if they achieve a grade from A to C. The pass grades are made clear before the course starts, at the beginning of each semester, in the published study program for each course and in the “Study Guide”. The sending and receiving institutions will provide assistance in obtaining insurance for incoming and outbound mobile participants, according to the requirements of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education.
