BIP Ethics of Care 2 June to 6 June 2026 2024-1-IE02-KA131-HED-000224357-3 [1]

We are pleased to invite applications for an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) on Ethics of Care in Posthumanist Semiotic Landscape Research: Sustainability and the 4 elements as an analytical frame, coordinated by Professor Mairead Moriarty, School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics at the University of Limerick.

This programme brings together partners to focus on developing ethical, multispecies and eco-sensitive research practices through the lens of posthumanist semiotic landscape research and the four elements as an analytical frame.

A key feature of the programme is its integration of embodied, multisensory fieldwork structured around land, water, air and fire, combined with both in-person activities at University of Limerick and virtual components to deepen reflective and analytical engagement.

Programme structure:

  • Virtual components: End May and across the end of June and early July no more than three sessions. The time indicated in the programme for virtual components includes preparation and reading time.
  • Physical mobility at University of Limerick: 2 to 6 June 2026 inclusive

Participants will engage in workshops, peer exchange, and collaborative activities.
