Classroom assistants in SEK International School [1]
Dear Placement team and academic supervisors,
We are writing from SEK International Schools, part of the SEK Education Group, to which UCJC (Universidad Camilo José Cela) also belongs. to share details about our internship opportunities for the upcoming academic year (2025-2026). We may have been in contact before, and wanted to let you know that we are now launching our campaign for next year, which may be of interest to you and your students.
We are looking for students of any degree, but especially those related to Education, Sports Sciences, Drama, Psychology, Modern Languages, or Sciences, to participate in internships. These internships provide hands-on experience in early years and primary classrooms, as well as opportunities for science students to support secondary school laboratory practices. Interns, referred to as teaching assistants, work alongside our teachers in a multicultural, international environment.
Strong English skills (C1 or native level) are essential, and we also welcome students with C1 or native-level French or German.
Placements range from a minimum of three months to a full academic year, with longer stays preferred. For non-EU students, the maximum stay is 90 days on a tourist visa.
While the internships are unpaid, we offer free accommodation as well as breakfast and lunch on weekdays to support students during their stay. Some locations offer full board.
This opportunity is open to students participating in the Erasmus+ programme, as well as those wishing to undertake their internship independently. For non-Erasmus students, we simply arrange a training agreement between the student, our school and your university, certifying their enrolment. For Erasmus students, I am also attaching a Learning Agreement with the details of the traineeship description already filled in, so you can use it in case you provide a Learning Agreement to your students.
The attached pdf includes full details on the schools and internships. To apply, students should send their updated CV and a completed questionnaire form (attached) to internationalrelations@sek.es [2]. The deadline is 25th March 2025, and shortlisted candidates will be contacted for an interview.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could share this opportunity with your students and with any other members of staff to whom it may be of interest, eg. placement officers, career guidance departments, etc. If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to respond to this email.
