Agreement duration: 2014 - 2029

The institutions named below agree to cooperate for the exchange of students and/or staff in the context of the Erasmus+ programme. They commit to respect the quality requirements of the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education in all aspects related to the organisation and management of the mobility, in particular the recognition of the credits awarded to students by the partner institution.

D. Additional requirements

1. Aristotle University of Thessaloniki:

Courses at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki are normally taught in Greek. However, there are courses in other languages too, especially at the Foreign Language Faculties, Faculty of Law (courses in English, French and German language), School of Journalism & Mass Communication, and School of Economics. In all other cases, there are special arrangements for LLP/Erasmus students, such as assignment of essays in English with the use of English bibliography in small groups of students.

Greek Language courses for Erasmus+ students

There are courses organized specifically for Erasmus+ students with the support of the EU at the beginning of each semester: in October and in March (beginners’ level). Moreover there are on-line courses at the beginning of each semester.

Students with disabilities

Social and Health Policy Committee of AUTH was established in 1997 with the aim to facilitate students with disabilities. Services have been developed and updated according to European and International standards. There are several fields that Social and Health Policy Committee is getting involved, always aiming to make student life easier so that all students can focus on their academic demands.

Services available

Students with visual impairment

- Converting books or notes in any file the student is using to study (text to speech, print them in Braille etc)

Students with hearing disabilities

- Interpretation in Greek Sign language everywhere in the campus of our University during working hours.

- Co-operation with Hellenic Federation of the Deaf in order to provide sign language interpreters for all lessons of deaf students.

- Unfortunately we do not provide interpretations in other foreign sign languages.

Students with mobility disabilities

- We provide transportation to students with mobility disabilities from their residences to the campus and vice versa in an everyday basis.

- connect students with other institutions so that they will be given the professional care they need depending on their issue.

2. Galatasaray Universitesi

Enrolment. The incoming students can take their credits from all departments of GSU (if there are no specific requirements of the sending institution).
Galatasaray University welcomes applications from students with disabilities. Most of our campus facilities are accessible for disabled students. For further information, please contact our departmental academic adviser.
Staff Mobility. A letter of invitation issued by an authorised person from the receiving institution is required to start the Staff Mobility procedure for our University staff. (We also provide your incoming staff with a letter of invitation prior to their mobility.)
Admission to M2 and PhD Programmes at the GSU. In order to be admitted to a M2 or PhD Programme at the GSU, the student has to contact the academic coordinator for their subject area and obtain the approval of theresponsible of the relevant programme. It is possible to agree on a research-based mobility with the approval of an adviser from both sending and receiving programmes. Otherwise admission will be for the M1 Level in our bachelor programmes.

Languages to TR ISTANBU02: Minimum B1 Level in French language is required. Students who have knowledge in Turkish and English can fully benefit from all our courses offers. For most of our M2 and PhD Programmes, minimum B2 level in Turkish is required. For more details, refer to the course catalogue and contact the Academic Coordinators. During both semesters, Turkish basic language lessons are offered free of charge.

2. Following the receipt of the paper application (printed online application), AUTH will send its decision within 4-6 weeks.
3. A Transcript of Records will be issued by the receiving institution no later than 5 weeks after the assessment period has finished at the receiving HEI.

We do not have a specific application procedure. The selected students must be nominated officially by their home institution's Erasmus Office by a letter of nomination including the basic informations about the students (area of mobility, e-mail adress, period of mobility) to be sent to our Erasmus Office via e-mail.
Incoming students will receive (as e-mail attachments) a letter ofadmission and a leaflet containing useful information on their academic exchange stay at the GSU. However, the Learning Agreement has to be sent by e-mail to our Erasmus Office before the beginning of the mobility.

The receiving institution will send its decision within 2-3 weeks.

A Transcript of Records will be issued by the receiving institution no later than 5 weeks after the assessment period has finished at the receiving HEI.


4. Termination of the agreement

In the event of unilateral termination, a notice of at least one academic year should be given. This means that a unilateral decision to discontinue the exchanges notified to the other party by 1 September 20XX will only take effect as of 1 September 20XX+1. The termination clauses must include the following disclaimer: "Neither the European Commission nor the National Agencies can be held responsible in case of a conflict."
